General information about electromagnetic flowmeters

Magnetic-inductive flowmeters are best suited for measuring water, liquid food, pharmaceutical media and many other conductive liquids. The measurement is made without pressure loss. This is made possible by free flow through the measuring tube, with no mechanical or moving parts. Our electromagnetic flowmeters measure flows between 0.05 and 2,262,000 l/min with an accuracy of ±0.2 % and nominal diameters between DN 6 mm and 2000 mm. Media temperatures between -40 to +150 °C and pressures up to 100 bar are also manageable tasks for the flowmeters.

General information about ultrasonic flowmeters

Our ultrasonic flowmeters use the Doppler or transit time method, depending on the model. The robust design of the meters guarantees a long service life even in extreme environmental conditions. The energy measurement by two temperature sensors is a useful addition for energy optimization. Ultrasonic signals are transmitted alternately in and against the flow direction of the medium. If flow is present, the signals reach the receivers after different transit times, with the same measuring path upstream and downstream. The difference in travel time is evaluated to the mean flow velocity.

General information about mechanical flowmeters

In mechanical flowmeters, mechanical elements located in the flow are made to rotate by liquid or gas. Depending on the design of the meter (impeller meter, turbine meter, swash plate meter, oval wheel meter), different media can be evaluated with higher or lower accuracies. We carry a wide range of mechanical flow meters as well as complementary digital indicators and signal transmitters.

General information about flow sensors

Flow sensors work according to the heating wire principle. The medium flowing past cools the temperature-controlled sensor head. The energy input required to maintain the sensor head temperature is the measure of the flow velocity of the medium. Ideal with this measuring principle is the direct measurement of the actual standard volume or mass flow - especially at overpressure. Pressure or temperature compensation via separate sensors is not necessary. We offer a wide selection of different flow sensors depending on the requirements and measurement tasks, specially designed for the respective application.

General information about variable area flowmeters

Float flowmeters are used to determine the volumetric flow rates of fluids (liquids and gases) in pipelines: A sharp-edged opening inside the piston cylinder forms a ring-like orifice with the contoured measuring cone. The piston cylinder carries a cylindrical PPS/ceramic magnet, which is coupled to an external indicator magnet. When a medium flows, this responds precisely in direct response to movements of the piston.
