Overview

First-class safety laser scanner

The new version of the safety laser scanner from Leuze now also enables users to integrate it into industrial networks via a PROFINET interface.

Safety laser scanners can protect all applications such as hazardous area, access or point of operation guarding of persons. They allow a very flexible mounting position due to arbitrary and individual protective fields, as well as their compact design, and they can also be used in mobile applications.

Range up to 8.25m and 270° scan angle to cover even large areas with one device
2-in-1 solution: Parallel monitoring of 2 independent protected areas
Variants additionally available with integrated PROFIsafe/PROFINET interface
High angular resolution of 0.1°:
Non-safety-relevant objects, such as dust and particles in the air, are blanked out by the scanner. Unnecessary shutdowns are reduced

Ethernet TCP/IP interface

All RSL 400 models are already network-capable through the Ethernet TCP/IP interface, e.g. for diagnostics via central access points.

Maximum flexibility through 200 fields

With up to 200 configurable fields that can be switched as pairs or as 4-field sets, the RLS 400 offers maximum flexibility to suit the application. With two parallel protective functions, it works like two devices in one or offers an additional, upstream protective field as an alternative to a warning field. In the PROFIsafe version, the RSL 400 monitors four protective fields simultaneously.

FTS navigation software

The flexible protective field configurations make the RSL 400 ideal for efficiently safeguarding different motion and loading conditions in AGVs. Measurement value output is optionally integrated for navigation. Parameters are displayed in an easy-to-understand, graphical format.
